I had a relaxing day today challenging myself with some colours I'm not use to and trying my hand at watercolouring.
I created this card for Mother's Day.
I love the way it turned out.
I started with selecting the colour scheme - cardstock, ink, ribbon whatever I had on hand in my stash, and then stamping the flowers and leaves, using my aqua painter and then die-cutting.
Colours used were So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Black Tuxedo.
Tea Together © Stamp Set and Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
Material used included: So Saffron In Colour DSP, Pearlized Doilies , Melon Mambo ribbon, cardstock and dimensionals.
Last of all I thought of a sentiment and layout. I wasn't sure how the flowers would look, so I wasn't sure whether I would use them.
Seems a funny way about designing a card, but it was more about watercolouring and putting the colours together.
I love how with Stampin' Up!® one can have many supplies that will co-ordinate with each other.

My next project is to make some cards for a friend who has requested cards in pink and purple. I do have a design brief for this though!
