Peony Happy Birthday

I had heard of the Spotlight Technique, so after some researching, I decided to try it.

Here is my creation.

I used the Peony Garden Suite.

I liked this DSP as the images enabled me to focus on a small peony and 'spotlight' it.

Using the Layering Circles Framelits I cut a circle and then cut a scalloped edge in Seaside Spray.

Using Stampin' Blend Light Old Olive and Light Seaside Spray I coloured the peony and glued to the scalloped edge.

I stamped the sentiment in Seaside Spray. The leaves were stamped and coloured.  I used the Delightful Tag Topper and Banner Triple punch to make the tag.

I layered Seaside Spray and Basic Gray. I wrapped the shimmer ribbon around the piece of DSP and adhered it to the card front.

The sentiment was attached by tying smaller piece of ribbon.

The 'spotlight' was then glued to the front.

I usually like to add bling, but I felt the ribbon was enough. Besides I wanted the 'spotlight' to stand out.

I was pleased with my result.
